Being a teacher gives me the greatest joy. I wanted to be a teacher because when I was in grade school, learning was hard for me. I could study and work hard for hours and still have trouble understanding. Becoming a teacher allows me to use my past experiences to help children learn.
I obtained my Early Childhood Education degree with a minor in psychology at Northeastern University. I graduated with academic honors. I attended Concordia University for my masters program. I have my masters in curriculum and instruction with an endorsement in ESL.
I taught preschool at a daycare center for two years while I was attending college. After graduation, I became a teacher's assistant for a special needs classroom. I was an assistant for two years. I worked with kindergarten and first grade students. I am in my fourth year at St. Viator. My first year I taught Pre-K3 as well as helped monitor the language lab. Currently, I teach kindergarten. This will be my fourth year teaching kindergarten and I love it!
I will tell you a little about my family. I have two brothers and 1 sister. My brothers got married so I have two more sisters! My siblings and I call ourselves "The Four Legs." We say we are like a table standing strong. When someone is missing, we are lopsided. Any addition to our table is known as a "Chair." I have two nieces, Mia and Katelyn. My parents have a lot of us now, and we often get called the wrong name.
